Genealogy for Fun & Profit- Part 1

Have you missed me? Well, have no fear! This video post is one of a series on how to make the leap from amateur to professional and use your skills to help others on their journey. Because I missed you for two weeks, and this series is all tied in, the posts will happen a bit more frequently until I've finished up.

In this post I mention certification. BCG is the certifcation I mention in the blog, which you can find here.

  1. I love that your speaking voice sounds just like your writing voice! Can't wait to see what's next!

    1. Thank you very much! I'll admit I'm a old-hand at the public speaking bit, but I was nervous about talking to an empty room (save for the less than thrilled cat that is)

I am only 8 minutes into this and am so impressed. I completely agree with Crista. My gosh, if I had to speak extemporaneously for 30 seconds I'd clam up. You are a natural Rhi and I will be following...and learning! I already knew you knew your stuff by the fb page, but...Wow. Fantastic job. And, thank you! -- Patti

    1. Great video post! I would love to have the skills to be paid to do genealogy research. I will keep learning and maybe someday I will. Looking forward to the next post.

The first post was a garbled mess, so retry!

    2. Thank you, Liz. It can be very rewarding on many levels to do this as a profession, even beyond monetary gain. I hope you become inspired to give it a try!
